The Guy Jenkins Band, an 8 piece, dance band, based in Frederick, Maryland, has become a reality because of the vision held in the heart of Ted Jenkins for many years. It is the “dream band”.  

Ted played in bands in Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas for years after he returned from Viet Nam and it wasn’t until after he came back to Maryland, where his family lived, when he decided to form his first band.  I first met Ted in 1987, when I auditioned as a singer for the band we later named, “The Souled Out Band”.  We have been performing together since that time.

Our band features a three piece horn section and is composed of highly skilled, professional musicians who truly enjoy performing together.  Our energy and enthusiasm engages an audience and brings people to their feet, dancing to diverse repertoire and rhythms, which may include: Blues, R&B, Soul, Boogie Woogie, Jazz, Latin, and Swing, depending upon a client’s preference.
